The Joint Military Exercise “Nomadic Elephant” ( 16th ) will take place between the Indian Army and the Mongolian Army from July 3, 2024, to July 16, 2024. The goal of the exercise is to improve the two forces’ ability to work together and communicate during semi-normal operations in semi-urban and mountainous areas, as directed by the UN.
They are going to do this 16th “Nomadic Elephant” Joint Military Exercise in Umroi, Meghalaya. Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya is located at an altitude of 1496 metres above sea level. Shillong, which was made Assam’s capital in 1874, remained so till January 1972, following the formation of Meghalaya. The capital city derives its name from the manifestation of the creator called Shyllong.
“Nomadic Elephant” takes place every year in India and Mongolia, switching between the two countries. Mongolia took care of the 15th version of the exercise in Ulaanbaatar.
